I'm curious to know what others are doing regarding file sizes of their fullscreen tours.
Previously I have always created a 6000x3000 equirectangular tiff, pulled into pano2QTVR and compressed it down with about 70% quality.
I am now using Pano2QTVR to convert cube faces but there is no compression involved so I am ending up with large flash tours.

Would you suggest reducing the original equirectangular tiff in size or saving as a jpeg with greater compression?

I'm keen to hear how others are getting around this.

I've just started using Pano2QTVR myself and have found the following settings to produce high quality results:
Tilesize 1500px and jpg quality 65. (These settings are on the 'options' tab.) This will produce a .mov of less than 1 MB.
Example (this one is not a full 360x180, so the size is just arond 650 kB):

P.S. For the interpolation I suggest to use Lanczos3. I found the default (spline) to produce a much uglier result. I haven't tried others though. (B.t.w. I started a new thread about this subject.)
Update: Before making a .mov file, convert from equirectangular to cube faces first. When doing so, don't go for jpeg, but tiff, so there is less quality loss. Only when converting cube faces to .mov you should use the settings as mentioned above.
