First of all, this is a really great tool. I'm quite impressed with the amount of flexibility supported.

I was wondering, though; are there any plans to support other panorama formats, such as cylindrical or equirectangular?

Thanks!

up!

i completly agree, we should be able to deal with cylindrical panoramas too.

is there a known process to convert cylindrical to cubic faces?

to work with equirectalgular you can convert them to cubestripes with pano2qtvr for example.

I think it would be possible to map the cylinder to at least four faces of the cube. The camera tilt would then have to be restricted.

I did notice that others have mentioned pano2qtvr for equirectangular to cube conversion. I tried it out and the process works very well. Thanks for the tip!

Yes, other projection can be added. But Flash (and our computers :) ) are still too slow to convert projections runtime.

Currently I'm working in direction of some offline convertion tool.
And I'm using PTAssembler for the time being. :)

Is there any way of doing this yet. I'm comparing Flash Panoramas and ImmerVision at the moment, and would prefer to go with FP. However, all the panos I do are cylindrical, so I need to have fov controls which will enable me to restrict vertical view so users don't see black chunks top and bottom.

Can FP do this yet?

+1!
Be able to restrict tilt for equirectangular images!
