I bought and downloaded FPP v2.21 and un zipped it and followed the simple tutorial. I have flash player 9 installed.
Every time I try to open a pano I get Loading:failed (green screen).
I even tested it on the example cube pictures (snow_b.jpg etc.) with the pano.swf file (renamed). I have all the cube pictures and the pano.swf file in one folder.
Any help?

An xml example would always help to pinpoint the problem.
In the meantime (if you are on a PC) you can download and install flashificator (link in my signature) and make sure your FPP package really works (which is of course does).
Remember to download the BETA version of Adobe AIR, and not the full release version, in order for the free version of Flashificator to work.

I guess I have to admit I'm an idiot because I down loaded the adobe air beta but have no idea what to do with it.
Also, to further show my ignorance I have no idea how to give you an xml file?
At least I'm honest.

Since I'm on the "I'm an idiot" kick.
If I take the snow_b.jpg images from the image examples and put them in a folder with pano.swf that is renamed to nature.swf and then click on the nature.swf file should it play from my computer?
I can click on other peoples flash panos and they work fine.
Again sorry for the dumb question but I can make aerial 360 panos in .mov format but I can't figure out flash?

Now... don't be too hard on yourself.... FPP is not easy to figure out for non porgrammers or coders.... which is exactly why I started the Flashificator project (and hope to have it out and available soon).
Just install the Adobe AIR beta on your puter, you will not have to think more of it, since it is only working in the background. There will be no icon or AIR program applet available to you... think of it as a driver you need on the puter.
After it has been installed, you can install the Flashificator, and since the free version is very basic, you can't go wrong with it. With 5 clicks you can have a pano up and running.

Tuddi,
Thanks for taking the time to help me.
I was able to make panos using Flashficator, Yeah.
Why can't I make panos following the FPP tutorial? I'm confused on why Flashficator works but the FPP tutorial method doesn't?
Thanks again.

I'm confused on why Flashficator works but the FPP tutorial method doesn't?
Because it is supposed to be easy and functional, while FPP is made by a programmer, and for him all the coding comes naturally, and looks easy. I am not a programmer, nor do I want to become one... so I tell my flashificator developer how things should be in order to be easily understandable and operable for everyone.

Hi Birdseyemedia:
If you have a set of pano files named "snow_b.jpg" (etc), and you want to use the "simplest" method -- a la renaming "pano.swf" -- then, just rename the pano.swf to "snow.swf". If you rename it to "nature", it is looking for files called "nature_b.jpg" (etc).
The FPP tutorial method should work -- but yes, it's easy to get a bit confusificated when it's your first time out with FPP.
Cheers,

confusificated
:D Sounds ideal for the "advanced" part.... either that or complificator.

I would really like to thank you guys for all the help. I have it working pretty good now.
Here is an example of one of Aerial Panos we shot for the subdivision developer:

I'm just glad to see that flashificator does help people to get started.
The pano looks nice.
Do you have some information on the aerial equipment?
