Semi-newbie question:

OK, so the default (preferred?) file input for the flash panorama player is cube faces or cube stripes.

I've searched around these forums and elsewhere, but the answer to the following question is still not clear enough to me:

What sort of photos do I need to be taking in order to make the conversion to cube faces or stripes as painless as possible?

Basic assumption: it's not possible for any camera+lens combo to shoot cube face images natively, right?

If I'm right in my assumption, then logically it's a question of first taking other photos in another 'format' (e.g. full frame fisheye, full circular fisheye, or a drum image), and then converting from that format into cube face or cube stripe. Correct?

If the answer to the above question is 'yes', then the next question (which is the same as my main question) is: do any of the source formats (full frame fisheye, etc.) result in a higher quality / easier conversion to cube face format than other source formats?

Thanks very much!
