Hello Everybody!

Does anyone know of a hidden method in the panorama player to create an object movie? That is, a movie of an object that a camera orbits around. If not possible, this would be a nice feature request.

 :D

Hi Steve

I am an absolutely newbie to Flash Panorama Player. I am just beginning to learn about the basics, and I have no previous experience with coding, so I am finding everything very frustrating. I am exited because I want to learn all the features as there are so many opportunities in this player.

But as far asa I understand it you are able to open external url from with in the panoramaplayer. And you are also able to use javascript. If this is correct I guess the simple method would be to create an abkect movie like this one:
http://www.virtueltour.dk/
And then make a javascript so you open this window in 500x400 pixel (just enough to have the object movie in it) centered on the screen.

I might be mistaking, but I expect that it should be possible.

Best regards
Morten

hi

you can easily call this type of flash animation inside a panorama as a hotspot in intend to make your visitor able to play with it

Hello,

thanks for your input. Morten, I love the vr and interface that you have there! that is exactly what I want to do. However, did you create the vr of the dress in panorama player? Before I get into the javascript, I need to create the rotating object. That would require a series of single framed images rather than 6 cubic faces. I don't see a provision in the panorama player for this type of vr.

Hi Steve

No the example is not made with this panorama player. It is made with the software from www.yawah.com It is actually a very cool software package - but also very expensive.

The viewer that Morton is using is called FSI (http://fsi-viewer.com).
I also use the viewer and one of the first things I tried when I purchased FP was to see if it would play inside a pano. Unfortunately it does not show at all as a spot or box hotspot.
There is also this viewer which is groovy:
http://www.thavis.com/
It loads inside the panorama (only as a spot). However I cannot rotate the 3d, nothing happens when I drag on it. Close but no cookie!
I think if one were to make a very simple movie in flash with some of the free 3d fla's out there it might work but not have the best functionality. I will give that a try 'sometime'.

Doesn't Pano2QTVR let you do objects as Flash output? You certainly can for QT.
Nearly Ј900 for the Thavis programme puts it out of my reach and I don't like paying licences, reminds me of iPIX!
