hey everybody -

finally finished putting together some panoramas i shot in Bali, Indonesia last summer

most are HDR, some are tonemapped, some enfused, some probably still need a bit of work...

enjoy :)

Hi Sam.
I know you are a very good photographer but I think specially with the image above you overdid the HDR tonemapping :)

But that is my opinion....
the rice field is very nice in color :)

thnx for showing!!

this one actually came out kind of boring without the heavy tonemapping, time of day was not quite right, usually i do try to stay just inside the reality line w/ HDR, but here it seemed to work, for me at least :)

im still pretty new to HDR, illl prob revise a lot of them down the road...

thanks :)

Hi Sam ,

I like your pictures, but what I liked the most is the wordpress structure you have used to show your job...

could you share some trick to do something like yours ?

thanks

The picture in question may be "over done", but I like it the way it is. It offers an artistic expression which would not be there if it was a normal daylight reproduction.

thanks tuddi - if i could have shot 20 min later it would have looked great in a more natural rendering, some areas are still a bit dark, i'll have another go at it when i have the time...

jordi, thanks, i've made a few posts here about wordpress, my latest pano posting code is here - http://flashpanoramas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2110 post to that thread w/ any questions

i've customized my page layout quite a bit, but otherwise its pretty basic posts, pages, archives, tags and whatnot, no special tricks other than the FPP integration

Hello Sam,
and what about this:

thanks igor, but that looks a bit yellowish to my eyes, the heavy blue is more about the mood than reality of the scene - a bit of creative license, as was said earlier...

my image also looks better on the original page, the thumbnail in my post above is a bit dark - http://www.samrohn.com/360-panorama/pura-saraswati-ubud-bali/

see this one for a more realistic look, this one was done with exposure fusion using enfuse/bracketeer -

fusion algorithm is so much better to my taste :)
I understand about the dullness of the picture.. photographing in the shade.
