Het Tommy, i didn't know that you solved the trouble of picShow2 when we come back on the first pano. Thank you for this.
The magnifying glass is just a perfect tool, i really like it.
Congratulation and thank you for this work on the forgotten problem of v2.
I will use it right now...

Hi,
In the panoform plugin, I have added support for calling a JavaScript function via ExternalInterface when your "Send" button is pressed.
The plugin page is here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/panoform.html) - click the "Email form 3 page" link. The JavaScript function called from this form does NOT send any emails, it just pops up an alert window with your form data.
If this is a feature that can be useful for you, you have to thank Maxime - he's the one that suggested this addition.

Hi all,
yet another plugin is added to the collection.
This one is called picslider and is used to show two images with a vertical divider that can be moved by means of a slider. It is of course supposed to be used to compare the two images (before/after, day/night, summer/winter...).
The plugin page is here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/picslider.html).
Thanks Freddy for skyping your suggestions.

Good one Tommy !!!
thanks !!!
could this be applied to the pano itself ??
so having half screen for the before pano, and the other half for the after pano, I have seen that once I'll try to send the link...

No jordi,
handling two images in a plugin is a completely different thing from getting your hands on the pano bitmap itself. I think FPP wants to be completely in charge in that area.

Hi Tommy,
First of all I would like to thank you for all the great work you do for the FPP-community. Im a relatively new user of FPP and was pleasantly surprised by all the development you do and your devotion to the community. Also your plugins are really practical and easy to use. Keep up the excellent work!
At the moment though, im kinda stuck on this little problem I ran into concerning the Panoform-plugin. I searched through the forum but i couldnt find a solution, hence my post. If my problem is explained allready somewhere I apologize for repeating the question.
Im using Panoform with a php-mailscript. Everything works like a charm except that the enter/return-key messes it all up. (I have a feeling you allready know where this is going....). When i press enter for example in a textarea to create a linebreak, Panoform closes (or atleast it turns invisible). When i press the hotspot which opens Panoform again, the plugins respawns with the data that was entered uptill the "enter-press".
My question; Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? So no closing of the plugin but creating a linebreak?
I would like to know your thoughts on this.
Regards,
Arjen

Arjen,
I do have logic in the plugin to handle the Enter key, but somewhere along the line it seems to have stopped working. It is supposed to know which component in the form that has focus and only take action if that is a button (send/cancel).
I will look into that as soon as I can.

OK Arjen,
I have fixed the bug.
Now the Enter key generates a new line unless you have tabbed to a"Send" or "Cancel" button.
The new version is 2.1.1 and can be downloaded here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/panoform.html).

Hi Tommy !!
I found an example of how to show the effect of your last plugin but in the pano itself double pano, see here (http://www.panoramix.no/doublepano/) or here you can see a better example (http://www.360ouest.com/beta/panomorphing_corbion/)
Also I wanted to say that would be nice to have a pulgin like this (http://www.photoglob.fr/flash/FPP_transition/demo/) for FPP in order to make video transition between panos...
Few time ago I was thinking of how useful would be to have some kind of deeplinking in a FPP project, so I can get to http://myFPPproject.com/panoname/pan=??&tilt=??
but mmmm maibe this should be dennis job for next update.....

I have made an addition to the panologic plugin which makes it possible to call a JavaScript function and make a decision depending on what that function returns. This can be useful for checking if the viewer has logged in or any other session dependant parameters.
There is a test page (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/panologic/functest3.html) where you can fake login (a temporary "login" cookie is set) and logout and check the status.
Plugin page is here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/panologic.html).

Interesting.

I have uploaded a bug fix version (1.10) of the floorplan (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/floorplan.html) plugin.
When using the selectCamera command, you are not supposed to execute the associated FPP command, but it seems that could happen anyway.
Thanks a lot Myriam for helping me find it!

I think something must have changed as I cannot now view the map on your example at http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/gpmap2/maptest1.html I’ve tried it on 3 PCs and the map just does not appear. Select Hide/Show map button and nothing happens.

Hi Tommy,
Having finally created time to get on with my pet pano project, I have made short work of my features wishlist thanks to your awesome plugin collection, but I think I've just hit a snag.
I am trying to use a bitmap image as the backdrop to a floorplan but it has irregular edges (like a scruffy folded map that's been flattened out). Is there a way that I can get rid of the white background that comes in with the map graphic? I've tried exporting it as a .swf image having turned on the wmode option and a 'matted' .gif but none of these seem to work.
I hate to add to your burgeoning in-box, but does Floorplan have a masking option like the one you built into your moviebox plugin, or is there a piece of .xml code I'm leaving out?
Yours ever,
John
allSaints
04-29-2010, 12:42 PM
John,
if I understand you correctly you want to make the white background in your floorplan image transparent. And that's a property of your graphics file, that the plugin can't do anything about. You have to use your graphics editor to remove the background and then save the file in a format that supports transparency. I always use .png files.
If you take a look at my test page (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/floorplan/fptest1.html) you can see that I have temporarily replaced the apartment plan with an old map.

Mea culpa! You forced me to step away from FPP and look at the whole workflow. I was trying to create the graphic in Photoshop, but I tried Fireworks and the job is now done. Wood and trees and all that!

I'm playing around a little with an Object VR plugin.
It lets you rotate an object either with your own imbedded controls or with ordinary hotspot buttons. The rotation can also be synchronized with panning movements.
The plugin is still a beta version and there is a test page here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/vr360/vrtest.html).

Looks great! As always :)
Would it also be possible to use it with alpha?
To make the object float on top of the pano instead of within a frame?
allSaints
05-03-2010, 10:40 AM
bjorn,
I'm not sure I understand your questions. It is an ordinary hotspot plugin and can be controlled as every other hotspots. And therefore it's a Flash object inside your pano and not an iframe.
Or did I completely get you wrong...? :)
bjornkn
05-03-2010, 10:56 AM
Sorry if I was unclear.
Take an example:
If you have a pano with a table with a teapot on it.
Will you able to rotate that teapot in-place?
With no background or frame around the teapot, making it look like it's actuall rotating right there on the table?
Given that the swf file contains alpha of course.
I don't have any tools for making SWF object movies yet. Maybe it's not even possible to make one with alpha? None of the Object2VR examples seems to be using any alpha?
I can make animated SWF with alpha, but Objects may be different?
allSaints
05-03-2010, 11:27 AM
OK, I see what you mean.
Well, I didn't have any object images with transparent background, but if you do have some, you can place the plugin in such a way that the object seems to belong to the pano. Of course the hotspot must not be static (as mine are) but fixed at a certain pan-tilt position. And I havn't tried that yet.
Tommy

05-03-2010, 12:46 PM
I'm afraid I don't have the tools for making SWF object movies. Normal SWF animations works fine inside FPP with transparency though.
Maybe there are someone out there who could "donate" a SWF OM w/alpha?

It's wonderful.
Tommy can this plugin to be used like Object2VR, to make Multi row Object VR?
As I understand bjornkin is asking - is it possible to use png images instead of jpg's and without plugin background. This will give possibility to put teapot on table.
I made auto-rotating object movies with 3D Photo Builder and the main problem in using of them in FPP, was control over the speed of rotation. If the pano autorotated, the speed of object rotation was more or less acceptable and dependant about framerate of pano. Used also the external frameRate plugin to slow down the rotation speed of pano, but for sure, it was in cost of nice and smooth rotation.
If the pano rotation was stopped, the object rotated like a crazy and it didn't matter how many frames per second I used during making of them.
Was looking at xml of it and there is turn time. Does it mean it doesn't have problem described before?
How the object and pano will react if pano have autorotation enabled and you push the Rotate one turn button? Does the speed of both remain same?
Anyway, the beta of your plugin is already very nice and I will prefer it even without autorotation. Additional value in your plugin is possibility to control it externally. Not even talking about possibility to make object movies without special program for it.

Looks like I should have checked the XML files :)
I thought that it required a fully-functional SWF object movie, but apparently it generates them on-the-fly from jpgs!
In that case - here's a quick render of a 3D chair. 36 images around, PNG with alpha - for testing. The forum wouldn't allow more than 97kB, which was a little too small (950kB at 320x240px*36)... http://bknilssen.no/ftp/ObjMovie.zip

Oh well (as Fleetwood Mac used to sing)...
It would have been so great for "inspecting" 3D objects if it could use alpha.
Right now I'm working on a virtual exhibition made with 3D-panos. It would have been so great if visitors could turn exhibited 3D objects around in realtime :)
The currently planned solution is to swap the hotspot icon url with an animated spinning object SWF animation on mouseover (or click?). But it would have been much better with an interactive version.
allSaints
05-03-2010, 04:04 PM
Fleetwood Mac ...eeh - then I can tell it's been a while since you passed twenty... :)
Well, in the page with your chair the hotspot is a <box>, which means it's been converted into a bitmap by FPP. Then the plugin drag function doesn't work. If you check the first test page where it's a <spot>, then you can drag the image to turn it (the left one).
Can you explain what you mean with "if it could use alpha"?
Tommy
bjornkn
05-03-2010, 04:21 PM
I actually have 'Oh well' as call tone on my phone :)
Alpha means simply that it have a transparency channel/background. RGBA is the common name for it AFAIK, where A means alpha.
Wouldn't it be possible to use <spot> instead of <box>, if that's what makes drag possible? They can still be stuck to the pano, but not deformed? Which shouldn't be a problem for me, because I could render it from exactly the angle I want it, making it fit into the perspective.
allSaints
05-03-2010, 05:02 PM
I have added a <spot> with the chair that you can rotate with the mouse. I just discovered that the code I made for rotating the object with the mouse doesn't work very well with objects that has a transparent background. The "drag mode" is terminated when the mouse is off the image, but with a transparent background it is hard to know where the image border is.
And yeah, I know what alpha means, but "if it could use alpha"?
bjornkn
05-03-2010, 07:44 PM
Wow, that sounds great!
It sounds exactly like what I was looking for :)
Sorry if I worded that "alpha thing" a bit strange/shorthanded-like.
I didn't mean that it should use alpha for anythng else than just showing it without the background, which makes a huge difference.
clueless
05-03-2010, 08:22 PM
This is very cool Tommy!!! Along with some of your other plug-ins, i can use this in some of my virtual art gallery projects Thanks!!
Also i have not messed around with object VR yet but i notice you use 35 png images for the chair alone, I guess my question is if i used say 3 to 4 object vrs in one pano scene would i run into loading or cpu performance problems?
allSaints
05-03-2010, 08:49 PM
Well, the 36 .png images that are used for the rotating chair makes a total of 990KB - which is about half the size of a pano. But the 36 images for the rotating Macs on the other hand are only 166KB in total. Originally I had 72 images for the Macs, but I choose to omit every other one.
But I don't have much experience with these questions, so I think there are many others here that are better suited to answer them.
Tommy
bjornkn
05-04-2010, 12:01 AM
PNG will usually make bigger files than jpg, especially when it contains an extra channel - 4 vs 3. But that second, smaller chair set was only 350kB. And if saved as 8bit+alpha that first set will only be 380kB. Problem with that is that then the alpha will only be 1 bit, and you easily get a white or black halo.
To save bytes it is also possible to use less images, like 18 around?
allSaints
05-04-2010, 08:35 AM
Yes, well, there is no free lunch. If you want higher quality, you have to pay for it by getting longer download times and a heavier load on your computer - cpu- and memory-wise.
It can pay a lot to use the "save for web" function in Photoshop and other programs. Then you can see exactly how much it will cost you when increasing image quality.
The plugin doesn't care how many images you're using for an object - the rotation steps just gets smaller the more images you have.
Tommy
bjornkn
05-04-2010, 08:56 AM
How did it look as <spot>? Did it work, or did it slide around too much?
Would you like some multi-row sequences for testing? I'm rendering a 144pic teapot sequence right now, with cast shadows built-in, which should make it blend better in?
allSaints
05-04-2010, 09:57 AM
bjorn,
The rightmost chair is a <spot> and the left one is a <box> in the test page (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/vr360/vrtest2.html).
What do you think?
I have added a second mode for dragging the object which works better when you have a transparent background. And also a parameter for choosing the initial position.
"multi-row sequences" - how would you use that?
Tommy
bjornkn
05-04-2010, 11:12 AM
Thanks :)
Well, the right one works quite fine when the pano is not rotating, but it does slide around too much when rotating. Would need some experimenting to find a solution on how to use it I guess?
The left one (still box?) works better as it doesn't slide around. The perspective isn't quite right, but I guess that is easy to fix (while rendering or later in FPP)?
Using buttons for rotating works very well I think :)
Any time scheduled for release date? This looks very promising :)
Multirow is when in addition to rotating the object you can also tilt it. Here are 4 frames from a multi-row object with 4 rows and 36 "columns". They have been scaled down some, because of the extremely low file size limits on this forum.
A lot more difficult to photograph than single-row, but in 3D it's no problem ;)
Here's a link to how that teapot with shadow works with the new JQuery/Reel js/css viewer: http://bknilssen.no/test/reel/teapot/ Single row only.
bjornkn
05-04-2010, 01:04 PM
Here's a new chair sequence - much better than the previous one.
This one casts shadow on the floor and it is lit b a soft bluish light where your window is located.
The center of the chair is 3m from the camera, and the camera is at 145cm from the floor.
Single row with 36x320px240px. Startiing to get big with those shadows...

you guys are so fast! I just turn my back for a couple of hours, and you have already put the plugin to use!
That's a great implementation, Christophe - I couldn't help laughing when I saw it. You know, you could use the commander plugin, so that every time the user is panning by the teapot - it will turn around. Or move just a little, so the viewer is not sure whether it was his imagination only - quite funny! :)

Nice Cristophe :)
It starts and stops with slowdown/tension. Did you render with non-uniform rotation between frames, or is it Flash that causes it?
There are lots of potential uses for this plugin, and combined with all the other plugins we should be able to make fullfledged pano/3D games now;)
BTW, how do you download a SWF file? ;)
Whenever I've tried it just opens, with no options if I want to download or open.
I guess it would work if I made a html page with a link to the SWF file that I want, and then rclick to download link?

Hi all,
I have uploaded a new version (V2.14) of the picMenu plugin. There is no new functionality - I have just improved the handling when clicking on a thumbnail while a new pano is loading.
There have always been a 3 seconds window after clicking on a thumbnail during which further clicks are ignored, but now all clicks will be ignored until the new pano has been completely loaded.
Plugin page is here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/picMenu.html).
I would like to thank Paul Baderman for help with getting it right.

Hi Tommy !
I'm in a new project, and as always using your plugins, I'm missing something because I'm having few problems :
1- with Htmlbox 2 (v 1.03) I can't make the mousewheel make the text go up or down, and in your example is possible...
2- I found that when you have the editor activated the event:global.goFuntion() is not working.... but this is not a problem, just something that made me crazy for few minutes....
3.-In the PicMenu (v 2.15) I can`t disble a 1px black frame on the thumb...???
- Also if I want to use the text above the image I have to set it like this :
textOnTop="1"
textVSpace="-55"
frameWidth="10"
And for that I have to make the frame (with it's color -- no transparent ) quite big other wise it gets out of the plugin area and became invisible...
There's another way for using text on the top, isn't it?
4.- I'm using a window for the Picmenu that gets closed with movement the only way I've found is :
close_picmenu="external.picmenu.margin=40:-435,1000;"
when normally is set to : margin="40:-35" so it should move during 1000 ms, but it's not making transition.
5.- If I want to customize the scroll for both plugins I have to open the flash (and get quite crazy in the library), and would be amazing to have external images...
Thanks in advance

Hello Jordi,
In my test page, the htmlbox spot use the following settings:
onOver="pano.disableWheel=1; pano.disableKeys=1"
onOut="pano.disableWheel=0; pano.disableKeys=0"
-
I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but the attribute textOnTop="1" is used to insure that the text doesn't disappear behind the thumbnail - not to position the text above the image. And no, the 1px frame cannot be removed.
The transition parameter is an FPP thing that the plugin knows nothing about and doesn't use.
Well, it's like with the thumbnail 1px frame - you can't have every little detail customizable, the plugin already has so many parameters that I can't keep track of them myself. But - as I include the source - you're free to customize them to your heart's content...

Salut Christophe,
I'm glad you reminded me of the newline (\n) issue.
You have always been able to write a newline character as %0A, because all the text is unescaped before being displayed. The same thing of course goes for the comma (,) and semicolon (;) signs, as you are not allowed to use them freely in attributes in the FPP xml file.
But I also just uploaded a new version (V1.3) of the textbox plugin - now you can use the simpler form \n for newline.

Tommy,
I am trying to use the spotmenu plugin and i wanted to ask 2 actions to an item.
Something like this, in the external xml:
onClick="action1" action1="global.on(); onClick=action2" action2="global.off(); onCLick=action1"
To switch on and off an action. I didn't succeed...!
Do you think it possible ?

Christophe,
I'm not sure what you are trying to do.
onClick="action1" - is that a FPP hotspot function or a menu item function?
Do you want to do these two things? :
disable a menu item
change a menu item onClick function
Tommy

I just called it action for the exemple.
Once i clicked on the menu item, something appear (a photo or whatever) and i just would like to click again on the same menu item to close it.
But it seems that i am able to only give one action to this item (global.whatever()) but not open and close.
Sorry for my explanations...

Well, it is a menu - not an on/off switch. And menus usually doesn't work like that. Maybe you can have a separate on/off switch.
Besides, if you click a menu item, it will be selected. And the next click on that item will then be ignored.
But it is maybe a good idea to be able to disable a menu item, and also to change the menu item onClick command. I will look into that and get back to you.

Thank you so much Tommy.
I think it's a good thing to use the spotmenu as a list to show all we can put in a virtual tour with all your plugins or more. For exemple if we click on the "picmenu" in the list, it appear or disappear and allow to group in a single tour all the possibilities.
Once again, thank you for all you do.

Hi Tommy, thanks for your great work!
I have just discovered Moviebox which suits my project perfect, but I have a little question about it.
In the external xml-file you can define custom cuepoints in seconds. I need more precise cuepoints and want to embed them inside my .flv-file.
Is it possible to execute a command when I reach my embedded cuepoints? Is it a way to define the cuepoints name in the xml-file?
Before I discovered Moviebox, I had made my own hotspot plugin based on flvplayer which did just that, like this:
function onCuePoint(infoObject:Object):void
{
if (infoObject.name=="walk") {
hotspots.execute("global.guide_pano_move1;");
}
}
Is it possible for you to make a function like this into Moviebox?
It would also have been nice to navigate between cuepoints.
Another question: How do I pause the movie through quepoints?
I have used: <quepoint time="2" command="pause;" /> without luck

Hello permort,
well, I'm no expert at flash movies, and I have no way to make any embedded cue points, so I don't really know how to add and test such a function in the moviebox plugin.
But I suspect it wouldn't be too much work to complement the existing cue point handling with a way to connect the embedded cue points with a given FPP command.
Regarding pausing the movie:
You can only specify FPP commands in the command="..." attribute in the <quepoint> tag, so to pause the movie at a cue point you have to write:
<quepoint time="2" command="command=pause" />
This will set the hotspot command="..." attribute, which the plugin will then detect and execute.

Thanks Tommy for your reply!
I have worked a little bit with your cuepoints and think it will cover my needs anyway.
Regarding pausing the movie, I canґt get it to work.
In my output window in flash I got:
Execute null: command=pause
Unrecognized object:
This is my xml-file:
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<moviebox>
<program autoplay="1" autorewind="0" repeat="1" >
<movie id="guide" url="movies/guide.flv">
<quepoints>
<quepoint time="6.9" command="global.guide_pano_move1" />
<quepoint time="2" command="command=pause" />
</quepoints>
</movie>
</program>
</moviebox>
I got another question too. Is it possible to turn off the fadeout effect when the video stops at the end (I use onComplete)? I want to video to stop at the last videoframe and stay visible.

permort,
I'm sorry, but I forgot that you must include the id of the hotspot:
<quepoint time="2" command="hotspot_id.command=pause" />
In the current version it is not possible to leave the video visible at completion. It may seem like a small modification, but the timing logic for fading out at the end and the variable pause before an optional next video starts is a bit complicated. But I will take a look at it.

Hi,
I have uploaded a new version (V1.8) of the moviebox plugin, which has support for embedded cue points that we talked about in previous posts.
This test page (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/moviebox/mbtest6.html) shows a video that has three embedded cue points: point1@0.418s, point2@7.748s and point3@16.02s. I have also added another cue point from the xml file at 4.5s.
This is the plugin xml file:
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<moviebox>
<program repeat="2" clickMode="pause" onComplete="global.hidep()">
<movie url="/panos/Flash/moviebox/images/cuepoints.flv" pause="5" >
<cuepoints>
<cuepoint name="point1" command="global.showp1()" />
<cuepoint time="4.5" command="global.showp2()" />
<cuepoint name="point2" command="global.showp3()" />
<cuepoint name="point3" command="global.showp4()" />

OK - calm now, permort.
Challenge, eh? I had already prepared for adding a seek command, which I now have tested - and which seems to work.
So there is a new version (V1.9) of the moviebox plugin that can handle navigation in a flv video. Normally you can only navigate between embedded cue points, but if you name the cue points added in the plugin xml file (ActionScript cue points), the plugin can navigate to them too. You can also navigate to any point in time in a video - even if there is no cue point there.
The new version is of course available for download at the plugin page (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/moviebox.html).

Hi guys,
I have added the panoclock plugin to my plugin page.
It's a hotspot plugin for those who want to show a running clock in their pano. I know there are lots of Flash clocks around, but with this plugin you can have your own clock running without any ActionScript knowledge. All you need is an image of the clock face and of the clock hands. You can also include a clock face reflection image. Then you enter a couple of numbers in the plugin xml file describing where the clock hands are supposed to be - and voilа, tick-tock!
The plugin can also be used as a stopwatch - if you can think of any application for that. Stopping and starting the clock is done with ordinary FPP commands.
The plugin can be downloaded here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/panoclock.html).

I canґt get embedded cue points to work with my .flv files :(
If I try to put your demo .flv(cuepoints.flv) into my flash movie itґs working! If I put my own .flv -files I got this error:

Hi permort,
your error message shows that the video player has encountered a cue point - no telling whether it's an embedded or AS cue point. Obviously there is some property in the cue point event object that has no value.
I don't really know much about flv embedded cue points myself - I have no way of making them myself. And I had to search the net intensely before I could find a video with embedded cue points to use for testing. That video does have the event attributes that I was checking in my code, but it seems like your video doesn't.
Anyway, I have uploaded a new version (V1.9.1) of the plugin (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/moviebox.html) that hopefully doesn't give any error message when the properties are missing. I have no way of testing it myself, so you have to do it for me. If it doesn't work, please email me and we'll see what can be done.
Tommy

I donґt know what you have done but itґs working now! The error message is gone and the event is triggered correct. But while testing the cue point functions I found something that can cause problems when using seek().
At first it didnґt work for me trying to loop back to an embedded cue point. I got a new error. After some testing I figuered out what was wrong.
When setting cue points, you can set two types: "Event" or "Navigation". When they are set to "Event", the seek function donґt work so they have to be "Navigation". Just wanna let you know in case you didnґt know. Maybe something you should mention in your user manual.
Anyway. Thankґs again Tommy! Youґre the best!

Thanks permort,
I'm glad you got it working - and that my assumption was correct, as I couldn't test it myself.
And yes, there are two kinds of embedded cue points: "Event", that are supposed to trigger an action, and "Navigation" that of course are for navigation purposes. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear in my documentation, but I was supposing that anyone using them would know more about them than I do. :)

well, I havn't seen anyone around. But when I recently made my analog clock and stopwatch plugin, I thought about also making a digital calender/clock. Then I got a request for a countdown clock, so I forgot about it.
A digital calender/clock has its own problem, as it varies from country to country how you want to show it. So, if it's going to be useful, you have to be able to tell the plugin how you want it to be displayed.
But I will take a look at it and see what I can do.

I have added a digital clock plugin to my plugin page (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/).
You can decide yourself how you want the display to look with a format string, and there are also six built-in fonts to choose from. Flash can only display month and weekday names in English, but if you want to use another language, for example German, you can easily supply your own names.

Well, there is no automatic coupling between the two plugins. But if you're using the floorplan plugin and select your pano in any other way than clicking on your plan, you can update the camera position with the command:
external.floorplan.selectCamera=camera_id
And in the same way you can update your spotmenu selected item by running the command:
spot_name.action=select=item_id
If you want more help, you are welcome to email me (tommy@wirestam.com).

I have made a new version (2.43) of the gpmap2 plugin, in which I have added the type="..." attribute in the <marker> tag. Marker type can have the following values:
pano - Default. When clicked, marker will be centered, the radar - if used - will be placed over marker and the onClick command will be executed.
noradar - marker will be centered, radar will remain at previously clicked marker and onClick commands will be executed.
simple - no change in map, only onClick commands will be executed.
The new types has been added to make it easier to include map markers that doesn't load new panos, but instead are used to show pictures, play videos or open new windows.
I want to thank Kris for reminding me of this idea.
The plugin can be downloaded here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/gpmap2.html).

Hi Tommy !
I'm using the picMenu for one of my projects, and it's working very good !!
link project picMenu (http://fenix.tuhotelvirtual.es/)
But I would like to use the picmenu2, I have tried here (http://fenix.tuhotelvirtual.es/indexpic2.html)
but I cannot get working the
external.picmenu2.select=p1;
I just have tried different ways :
as it's suposed to work (http://fenix.tuhotelvirtual.es/indexpic21.html)
This way blocks everything, and takes about 15seconds to start
external.picmenu2.select=p1;
as I though (http://fenix.tuhotelvirtual.es/indexpic2.html)
external.picmenu2.selected=p1;
as it was in previous version.
external.picmenu2.ImgSelected=p1; as it was in previous version.
I hope it's not a bug, and it's just me doing something wrong, here I give you direct adress to the xml files :
xml project (http://fenix.tuhotelvirtual.es/xml/fenix_capic2.xml)
xml picmenu2 (http://fenix.tuhotelvirtual.es/xml/pic_fenix_capic2.xml)
On the other side, I wanted to ask you if you know a better way to build this menu I'm using in the top right of the project.
I have write some complicated actions, that at the end were giving bad response, and then I just used the linked parameter to show the selected state of the menu.
Do you think with panologic I could get something better...?
Also I have a big problem building menus & submenu system in FPP, because I mostly build every tour in 3 languages so everytime I have to create the sets of images for every menu item, and also to calculate the position of everyone, do you know some way to make every item depend on the position of the previous one, so I just have to set the distance between the items and it's all done ??
Thanks in advanced

Hello Jordi,
well, it was a bit difficult to follow the initialization of your tour, because the Debug Player shows error messages, but at the same time it also shows that the picmenu2 plugin receives the command "external.picmenu2.select=p1" when it hasn't been initialized yet. That's why something goes wrong. And this command is unnecessary because you already have this image selected in your plugin xml file. But I can understand that you might be running a function that contains this command, and the plugin should not crash because of that.
So, I added some code to the plugin and uploaded a new version 1.0.5 that ignores any commands before init is ready.
By the way, the command is "select", but I have added so you can also use "selected" now.
Regarding building menus, I'm not the right guy to answer that question. I don't build any advanced pano tours - just my plugin example pages that I'm sure everybody is sick and tired of by now...

I made a small tweak to your dialog plugin, because I wanted dialogs with only a single button.
So here, if I don't give button 2 a label, it is hidden and button 1 is centered.
from drawBox(), line ~540
var division:Number;
if(button2.label == ""){
division = (boxWidth - button1.width) / 2;
if (division < 5 ) { division = 5; }
button1.x = division;
button2.visible = false;
}
else {
division = (boxWidth - button1.width - button2.width) / 3;
if (division < 5 ) { division = 5; }
button1.x = division;
button2.x = division + button1.width + division;
button2.y = box.height - 32;
}
button1.y = box.height - 32;

Hello Tommy, is it possible to have an x, y offest for the thumbnail text in the picmenu2?
...
I can not effect the position of the picmenu2 - offset via "external.picmenu2.offsetY=xxx;"
...
Sry next question is it possible to add a scale parameter that can be dynamicly updated via FPP.
I am handling different screen resolutions via panologic (to have a better performance in Android) and I want to have the chance to scale the picmenu when the screen resolution is smaller or bigger ...
the workaround for this cld at last be - to set up different xmls that will be loaded via panologic for the picmenu2.

OK, Astroman
I made a new version (1.1) of the picmenu2 plugin with the following changes:
Added scale="n" attribute to set plugin scale.
Added offsetX="n" and offsetY="n" attributes in <tooltip> tag to set tooltip position.
Attributes orientation, offsetX, offsetY, scale and salign can now be dynamically updated.
The picmenu2 plugin page is here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/picmenu2.html).

Hello Tommy is there a way to control the tooltip offset in a spot or box object? external.picmenu2.tooltip.offsetX/Y
I have the feeling that the font size in the tooltip is not working. Changing the size has no effect to me.

Astroman,
I guess you have modified the xml file that came with the plugin zip file, and thereby made the same mistake as I did. The attribute for setting the size of the tooltip font is NOT size="...". It should be textSize="...".
Sorry about that. :(

Hi Tommy,
It's been a while since I've updated some of my panos and I'm wondering if it would be possible to also have an x, y offest for the tooltipurl in the floorplan plugin? Here's the problem I'm having.

Hello Tony,
I have made an update to the floorplan plugin.
You can now specify a new default offset value in the <tooltip> tag, and also individual values for each camera in the <camera> tags.
The new version is 1.11 and it can be downloaded here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/floorplan.html).

I have made an update to the floorplan plugin.
Once again a mere Thank You just doesn't seem sufficient.

Hi,
I have replaced twcompass with the compass (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/plugins/compass.html) plugin. In the updated version you can use a static and a rotating image in different combinations - either a static compass house with a rotating needle, or a static needle with a rotating scale.
