Is it possible to layer multiple 360 shots and view them step by step as if you are walking? For example. I walk down a street and take a 360 image every two feet for say 25 yards. I would like to play back that back in the Pano2QTVR as if I am walking down the street with 360 viewing capabilities. I have figured out how to take Hi end full 360 images just need a viewer for them.

I've never seeing such a thing before, it should be cool. You should be a pioneer. :)
Yes, our player gives maximum parameters to control panoramas and the environment, the next version will be even more powerful.
Also we are opened for any functional suggestions, send us you ideas about what more functions and parameters do you need to implement your application and we will try to include them into the next player updates...

that type of application needs a high bandwidth! each time you will go further, there will be a loading process...

actually they are using Flash 9 not java for the viewer and btw that totally rocks!

Denis, any chance you could look into that ? make a new plugin for that ? even if you charge extra for a plugin like that it would totally be worth it!

I second that.

wow, that is so cool, although it is limited to horizontal viewing.

But first, warping hotspots and video!! should be here this month, right Dennis? Looking forward to it!

to me it's just a succession of one shots 360°, not interesting that much...

the colors change between the shots, the quality isn't very good.

i think denis could do the same by introducing a loading function in order to load several panoramas at the beginning, and then displaying them switching one to another by clicking a key hotspot.

That's cool!

32 panoramas in 3.4mb - acceptably. :)

Actually, the current version of FPP fits for this task even without Actionscript. I.e. you can convert this application into FPP engine application including back and forth buttons.

The signle problem is a good preload process. I offer to hide all buttons at fist, show "loading" hotspot and start to load panoramas one by one (transition time = 0, onTransitionEnd event loads the next one). On the last panorama load you will show buttons back and forth (loadPano() with 0 transition effect), you can place them directly to the panorama surface (advantage). This should be fast enough (all panoramas are in browser cache) if panorama size is about 100kb (as for this example).

This should be cool to create panoramas field, say 32x32 panos, this is a possibility to emulate a free travel in some place.

I will think about some additional support of this type of "panorama fields" in future versions of Flash Panorama Player.

By the way, I have a prototype of remote control for panorama motion too. :) I going to implement this as a plugin (simple version with motion and advaced one with sound/video chat support). But not in the near future, say, in August/September.

Denis, is there a way for people to create plugins? if its possible, could you post some sort or tutorial explaining how to do them ? I am pretty sure using the full documented API there might be a way, but a simple tutorial could help us create simple plugins.

just an idea :D

The main problem with Flash Panorama Player for creating walkthroughs is the requirement that all buttons and directions need to be specified at the same time.

If the XML for hot-spots was re-read when loading a new panorama, then it would be much easier to create walkthroughs as each panorama would only have to list the links to neighbouring panoramas.
