simpleTile Flash Panorama Player Plugin

FILENAME: simpleTile.swf
CURRENT VERSION: 1.0
CATEGORY: FPP User Interface Enhancement

Description
The main plugin purpose is to allow distorting any static spot in Flash Panorama Player project to desired width or/and height calculated dynamically based on screen size.

Very simple to use. Allows precise, "screen relative" postioning of such elements as tour header or footer background, panel background, etc.

Usage
Just load the plugin on a layer and add one parameter to a spot:
tile="resizeX,leftMargin,rightMargin,leftPadding,rightPa dding"
tile="resizeY,topMargin,bottomMargin,topPadding,bottomPa dding"
tile="resizeXY,topM,rightM,bottomM,leftM,topP,rightP,bot tomP,leftP"

Margin and Padding values are SCREEN RELATIVE.

You can use values specified in pixels or in percentage.

tile="resizeX,0,0,0,0" - streches the element on the whole screen width.
tile="resizeX,50%" - streches the element with 50% left margin, element occupies half of the screen width on the right.
tile="resizeY,50%,0,20,20" - the same as above, with 20px inner horizontal margin.
tile="resizeXY,0,0,0,0,100,50,100,50" - streches the spot to the screen width with 100px vertical margins and 50px horizontal margin

This simple plugin is the result of my cooperation with a very good Action Script coder. Three days ago he knew nothing about Flash Panorama Player. I think bringing experienced Action Script coders to the FPP community is the most important thing for all of us. Sure, panoramic images are great value even without user interface, but we all know that FPP is all about user interface. That's why we started the Plugin Project at www.flashpanoramaplayer.com (http://www.flashpanoramaplayer.com). In cooperation with Action Script programmers we want to deliever usefull plugins. The plugins are not free, but they are also not expensive. For every plugin there will be suggested price and minimal price, so you can pay as much as you think it's ok.

For example simpleTile plugin's cost is 5$ suggested and 1$ minimal. So as you can see it's really not expensive.

I don't fool myself that we can make something like FPP Plugins super business, but I hope the dotations (i prefer to call it this way) will help a little in covering the cost of plugins development.

Hi Mediadigital,

Nice functional plugin you've made, simple to use and adds a lot of flexibility to the interfaces we can build. I'll certainly part with $5 to buy it! Keep up the good work and I look forward to future plugins.

regards,

Tony

I couldn't agree more! I am constantly trying to push the limits with my tours and frustrated that I can't do more flash/actionscript work. Bring the experts to the table would be great and personally I would pay a lot more than you are asking if the scripts are worth it! Let's face it, if someone can build a swf file that saves me a half a day's work trying to understand how to make something happen isn't that worth £30+?

Flashificator is a good example of this, or it will be now it can save files ;)

I sure like the food from the region. Only by looking at the different breads, I can both smell and taste them...
