Hi,
Iґm searching for a good plugin to show several content in a kind of "greybox" or "lightbox" for e.g. html, pics, inline content, quicktime, flash..... like those plugins for ordinary html programming:
- lightview (http://www.nickstakenburg.com/projects/lightview/)
- lightwindow (http://stickmanlabs.com/lightwindow/#demos)
In my pano there has to be fly in windows by clicking to a hotspot with information. Maybe it is a picture, plain text, a combination of both or something from a external website......
I took a look at htmlbox2 but ist is too simple
Do you have an idea?
Thanks to you
Matthias

I took a look at highslide and it looks fine.
But how is the code at the pano.xml to call a highslide window by clicking a hotspot and let it disappear by clicking on it?
My normal code to call the next pano of the multinode tour looks like this:
<spot id="pano_1" alt="go ahead" pan="0" tilt="-3" url="images/Pfeil.png" linked="images/pano_1" onClick="loadPano(panoName=images/pano_2);alpha=0,500" />
In this pano I want to have an other hotspot called "info" to show info-material e.g. inline content or plain text. How is the new spot-code and do I have to put additional lines to "global" in the parameter section of the xml-file?
thanks for help

I did not think that was possible to call from a xml ,, i could be wrong; let me know if you find a way. otherwise maybe use the bottom or top of the html.

nobody out there who can help me out?
clueless, what du you mean with "top" or "bottom" of the html site?
I tried to place the lines in a normal html site like shown on the highslide site and used an static link. Highslide worked fine.
But there must be a way to flyin information windows inside a panorama. I have seen it several times

Matze, I can't help but I would like to raise the same question. Highslide (http://highslide.com/) is a really excellent image pop-up system. It can also pop-up panoramas, see my site here (http://www.2bconsultancy.co.uk/3d.htm?autoload=20)
However, what I am interested in is calling a highslide window from an FPP panorama hotspot. The html code to call a highslide window in html is:-
<a id="This is the ID tag" href="images/Photo.jpg" class="highslide"
onclick="return hs.expand(this, { slideshowGroup: 'linked groups of images' })">
</a>
<div class="highslide-heading">Photo title</div>
<div class="highslide-caption">
Photo caption as long as you want
</div>
The above code could be in the underlying html page which hosts the panorama, xml etc. But is there any way for a hotspot to activate a such a link?
Many thanks.

Have you tried using the javascript: function in FPP:
<spot id="myspot" ...
onClick="javascript:return hs.expand(this, { slideshowGroup: 'linked groups of images' })"
/>
Well, you have to modify your javascript code - the "this" parameter would probably not work...

Hiya Tommy!
I was just emailing you to draw your attention to this thread, but you beat me to it! I had an idea you would push things in the right direction. I didn't know there was a javascript function, but it is probably the answer. I will have a play and report back with any successes or failures.
Thank you.

no, I tired an other thing called krPano Player and it works fine!!!
Sorry for FPP, but krPano is now my first choice!

Well, I remember having seen it in the FPP documentation, but I have never heard anyone use it. And I havn't had any use for it myself so I havn't tried it yet.

I have a test page here (http://wirestam.com/panos/Flash/panologic/functest3.html). This is just to check that the javascript: function works.
Click on the blue sign to make a call to the javascript function on the html page.

Thanks Tommy. I haven't got time to pursue this today, but it is important for a couple of projects so I will be back to it soon. I would think that with your assistance and the very helpful Highslide forum it should be possible to resolve this one.

Hi Tommy,
call the highslide seams to work fine, just could you give the pano a wmode=transparent? Maybe this would make the highslide appear OVER the pano.
Thanks my "saint" friend!

Thanks Gregor,
well, when I made the page, I wondered what could be done to make the image end up on top of the pano. But I'm not very familiar with this side of Flash, and then I forgot all about it. But you learn something new every day...
PS: holiday already booked?
I wish it were, but as usual I guess I'll be stuck here with all the Christmas frenzy. Because it's so dark up here during winter, they start lighting up the decorations in the middle of November. That means 2 months of Christmas celebration - and when December 24th arrives you're already sick and tired of it! It was of course more fun when my daughter Karin was a kid...

Hi Gregor, would you be kind enough to post some sample code which is working for you?
Thanks

Sorry BillB,
I have no code setup nore do I have usage for this right now but I saw that Tommys highslide example is working fine with only one (now solved!) little bug.
But as we all know Mr. Saint, he -for sure- will be more than willing to share his great working solution with us.
Right Tommy? ;)

Gregor

Thanks Gregor, that's fine. I had a quick look at Tommy's page last night and just about figured out the flow from FPP hotspot to javascript call to javascript function in background page to object ID to call Highslide pop-up. Will try to reproduce when I have a little more time - I am not a programmer but a code-copier! This has the potential to offer a lot of multi-media content (text, images, video) in very classy pop-ups for FPP.
Anyone using Highslide on a commercial site - don't forget to register! Very cheap for a great product (like FPP) with great support - credit where credit is due.

Just a little question:
Why is there an attribute id sent to swfobject?
var attributes = {
id: "movie20"
};
I can't find it referenced in any of the xml files.
I don't think I've found any references about how to use 'attributes' in the docs neither.
All the FPP docs use the old swfobject.js format, but I suppose what is added with so.addParam and so.addVariable are the same as those sent as params and flashvars arrays?

bjorn,
don't mind that id - it has no use here. I use the same html page that I copy for different plugin tests. And the id: "movie20" was there for a test of the FPP ExternalInterface API.

After I got curious about this highslide funcionality in FPP I tried it out today using Tommys code. While it works well in normal mode, the whole thing does not work in fullscreen. Sure, how could it when the <div> that contains the content (image) and the javascript are not reachable.
So highslide is not really an option when you allow your visitors to view your panos fullscreen.

Thanks!
Nice to know that it wasn't something I had missed there.
