Hey All,

I've been using flvplayerx for a while now and have had mixed results. It works, which is something I could never get the original to do, but I am missing a lot of functionality, particularly a cache. I'd love to implement a player that will include this but so far have struck out. My original plan was to use Vimeo, like the Youtube example in the tutorials, but I can't get it to work. Nothing ever shows up so I've abandoned that idea unless someone else has some ideas.

I'm looking for any other options that people have used. My project is getting extremely close to launch but this video player is our largest technical obstacle left. Thanks for any help or ideas!

Best,
Drew

Hi

I really don't know much about programming, but with the cache plug-in it should be possible to cache all sorts of files. Then it should also be possible to cache video files? Or so at least I should think.

The Cache plugin is not available after Zephyr and Patrick went on to do their own thing.

In FFC it is possible to use a preloader (cache) for videos and other files that have a max size of 10mb each.

Drew,

Could you explain why you want the video cached vs. streamed with a buffer.
