FYI: Just found this stitcher:

The latest version of the CleVR Stitcher is now built using Adobe AIR technology. This is a fantastic cross-platform runtime that gives a far better user (and developer) experience than the old Java Web Start system that we used before. It is a complete rewrite (as may expected considering that it’s written in a different language). The Java Stitcher has barely been developed since 2004, and was looking very tired. The new Stitcher has a significant number of improvements, and is being actively developed, with new releases every week or so. Don’t worry - it will auto-update, so you needn’t worry about having the latest version.

Features in this version:

* Built-in help viewer, so you don’t need to come back here and look at this list!
* Drag-and-drop import of images.
* Camera detection, and direct import from camera.
* Auto-alignment of images, based on EXIF tags in photos.
* Improved focal length calculation - no more entering your focal length required.
* Significant improvements to the stitching algorithms - best ever stitches, especially for partial panoramas!
* Image correction - auto levels, with simple threshold adjustment available.
* Built-in panorama preview - see the panorama as it appears on CleVR.com
* Save to disk as JPEG.
* Direct upload to CleVR.com
* Built-in hotspot editor - complete rewrite of the version previously on CleVR.com, with significant improvments.
* Auto-updating
* Buttons carved from raw steel!

Installation requires the Adobe AIR runtime, but this is handled automatically when you first install. Click the button below to get started.
