As one of the increasing new users of Flash, I am also somewhat stuck in the old ways of making panoramas using QT. I notice that on the yahoo panogroups discussion site there was a postig from the makers of this here programme saying (near as dammit quote) "our new player makes QT a thing of the past".
I have also learnt, from people on this very forum, that this player is more programmer friendly. Therefore, those of us without programming knowledge (simple, basic photographers) may have somewhat of a tricky time figuring out how to use this programme to play panoramas.
So, knowing that my technical and computer skills are quite so basic, I went ahead and bought the Flash player. I operate a Mac and when the .zip file was downloaded and opened, I couldn't help but notice that there wasn't a file marked 'getting started with Flash', as I assume that the files within the .zip file are for those who could take to this new programming lark without so much as a blink of the eye.
Is there, could there be, a one hit reference somewhere that anyone has found that might give us less-experiences fiddlers of programming language some comfort, something that might explain in easy-to-grasp English, "how to get started using Flash for panoramas"?
I can hardly take this back to the shop so I would very much like to learn how to use Flash - sending blocks of code won't get me anywhere.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who has a bit of time to dig out some paperwork.
Regards,
SD
