When I try to run my pano I often get in the tracer:
Load layer 6: ../../../globalfiles/loadMeter.swf
Load layer 4: ../../../globalfiles/autorotator.swf
Load layer 3: ../../../globalfiles/hotspots.swf
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property transparentBack not found on CubePanorama and there is no default value.
at Hotspots/doRender()

It appears that there is an Adobe Flash Player 9 ActionScript error. This seems to happen when I edit the _d jpg with Photoshop to get rid of the tripod. This happens in Firefox. IE6 and IE7 are always OK. In Firefox if I Dismiss All in the error window the pano goes on to display correctly. I do save the edited _d file back into jpg after flattening the image but the file size is invariably slightly different from what it was originally. I don't know if this is anything to do with it but I'm clutching at straws here. I also don't actually use ActionScript either.

If anyone could throw any ligth on this I'd be most grateful.

Any ideas?

Maybe "saving for web" in Photoshop (instead of the normal Save As) could help, since then there is no additional information like preview pictures and creation software brand and so on embedded. Also the file size is much smaller then. Just an spontaneous idea -- I've never had this problem myself.

Regards, Ph.

After extensive testing I've found the answer.

It was not the way I saved my jpg (although thanks for the smaller footprint tip Ph) but it must be a bug in the new hotspots plugin.

If I use the old hotspots plugin from 23/3/07 together with LoadPreview and Firefox, the error does not occur.

If I put the new hotspots plugin into the old (2.0.1) bw_preview_detection.html example provided, then the error occurs.

I'll just have to live with the error.

Will there be an update to this in v 2.2 Denis?

Looks like you are using 2.1 version of CubePanorama with new Hotspots 2.2.
CubePanorama 2.2 has "transparentBack" property. :)

Check the version and clear your browser's cache.
