Hi all,

The Flash Panorama Player looks very interesting, along with the hotspot plugin.

I'm just a little confused on one thing however. In some areas it says this can work with Flash versions earlier than 9, such as 8. But it also says the Player requires version 9.

Can someone help me understand this?

Is it possible to use the hotspot plugin with a flash pano (swf file) that I create with a different program?

The reason I'm asking is I have a client that wants to use panos in flash with advanced hotspots/interaction, but needs to keep the flash requirement at this time to 8.

Is this possible?

Regards,

Robert

You can load any Flash movie as a hotspot, could be some problem with direct interaction if you want to make a complex application, but no problem to show them.
There is some more info about loading Flash 7 application and Flash 6 simple button as a hotspots: http://flashpanoramas.com/blog/2006/12/27/hotspot-example-review/

Thanks for the quick reply.

Please bear with me if I'm asking stupid questions.

So, it is possible to use or limit the Flash requirements to Flash 8 or higher and still use the hotspot plugin?

That is, I buy the Panorama Player, generate all of the Flash Panoramas in a system that only requires Flash 8 and then can use the Plugin from Flash Panorama Player to add hot spots?

And if this works, what, if any, hotspot functions are missing or non functional becuase of only using Flash 8?

Robert

Flash Panorama Player is Flash 9 application.
So there is no problem with Hotspots, if user can load Flash Panorama Player, he can see hotspots definitely. :)

Thanks Denis

O'well, it will not work for this client at this time - bummer. But in 6 months or so when Flash 9 installs reaches the magic 80%+ browser installed mark, it will.

I'll be back!
