Pano2VR has video pans in their latest Beta. Quality, at the moment is poor but I'm going to do some tests with an HD camera - and it can only get better.

The question is, does one move over to Garden Gnome to do the complete job or wait for Denis to come up with the goods.

The only part of Pano2VR I've used in the past is to convert equirectangulars to cubes & back again. I've never really thought about it for the finished product.

However,as (I hope) we have all paid for Flash Panoramas, we won't be hurting Denis if we discuss the pros and cons of Pano2VR (which I, at least, have also paid for) versus Flash Panoramas.

Comments, thoughts?

John

Thanks, Patrick, for the link - but it's big bucks getting all the kit.
At the moment, I'm waiting for Sigma to import a 4.5 into the UK and I shall get a D300 to screw it onto at the Imaging exhibition.

(This is general info for all readers)
In the meantime I've just ordered a Sanyo HD1000, purely to play with. Not only does it pit in the pocket,is takes full HD video and, it does 7mb stills (albeit JPEG, I think) for quick and probably dirty pans. I read that the fisheye adapter isn't that good but has anyone had any experience?

Regards,

John
