Heythere:

I'm experiencing an issue with straight lines appearing wavy, even when static. Sorryif I missed apost on this, but I didn't find one.

I have the "navigation.xml" file, with parameters for quality:

qualityStatic=high
qualityMotion=low

Then, I set the pan constraints for each panorama in its own file. Do I need to set the quality separately for each pano too?

Pano examples at:

Here's the image from the "Practice Room" pano:

Thanks in advance for any insight!

check out "segments" param.

the higher it is, the less wavy lines you got.

Thanks jaaaab!

The default setting seemed to be working OK for most panos; it's this one pano that is really affected. I'm playing with "segments" (25, 30, and so on), but still the pano comes up with those wavy lines.

The cube faces are 1812px, FWIW.

I am interested to see your cube faces are large too. I have just reduced mine down to 1200 in order to keep the file size down after some testing and finding that any lower makes noticeable differences.
How does your workflow go, how do you compress the images down, do you use a PT tool or Stitcher?

Hey Adrian:

So, do you mean you get better performance (less wavy lines) when using smaller than 1200px?

I know the movement and the like will be better because of less memory usage, but going full screen at that size could be iffy.

I stitch in PTGui... I've been feeding Cubic Converter my equirect files, and outputting cube faces to TIF for final retouch, then back to CC for export as JPG with only as much compression as I can stand. :)

Hey Patrick

Have you got any new insight or advice regarding this, how to set the wobblers on the straight path?

I only get wavy lines with MOVs with all segments settings (0, 20, 30, 40). Not so strong and neglectable with cubic faces and segments = 30. Checked both MOVs and faces of the same pano. So apparently the segments setting does not have a big or no impact on MOVs.
