Default "Like" your pano to Facebook

This simple code will send your pano to a Facebook profile by anyone "Like"ing it:
Quote:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><!--[if IE]><![endif]-->
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" xmlnsg="http://ogp.me/ns#" xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml" lang="en">
<head>
<title>YOUR PAGE TITLE</title>
<meta property="fb:admins" content="YOUR FB APP ID"/>
<meta property="fb:app_id" content="YOUR FB APP ID"/>
<meta property="og:site_name" content="YOUR SITE NAME"/>
<meta property="og:type" content="YOUR TYPE WHATEVER IT IS, company etc."/>
<meta property="og:title" content="YOUR TITLE"/>
<meta property="og:region" content=""/>
<meta property="og:locality" content=""/>
<meta property="og:longitude" content=""/>
<meta property="og:latitude" content=""/>
<meta property="og:url" content="http://www.YOUR PAGE WITH THE SWF PANO FILE.html"/>
<meta property="og:description" content="YOUR DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PAGE/PANO etc."/>

<meta property="og:video" content="http://www.YOUR ACTUAL.swf" />
<meta property="og:video:height" content="300" />
<meta property="og:video:width" content="300" />
<meta property="og:video:type" content="application/x-shockwave-flash" />
<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.YOUR THUMBNAIL IMAGE, REQUIRED.jpg">
</head>
<body>
<p>Facebook OG tag test. Click "Like" button below<br />YOUR DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PANO &/OR WEBSITE</p>
<div>
<object width="300" height="300">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.YOUR ACTUAL.swf">
<embed src="http://www.YOUR ACTUAL.swf" width="300" height="300">
</embed>
</object>
</div>
<br />
<div>
<script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like href="http://www.YOUR PAGE WITH THE SWF PANO FILE.html" show_faces="true" width="450" font="trebuchet ms"></fb:like>
</div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
</body>
</html>
Encryption/security I cannot speak of. Use thumbnail image of your choice. This works. I just spent a day perfecting it. To test & test & test create new html pages. Unliking a page & making the button work again is a pain & a waste of time. Don't do it & think it'll help. Create new html pages to test, When your "like" is the way you want it then & only then make it an addition to any pages you have. Just trying to save you some heartbreak. There are thumbnail image size restrictions. I used 200px X 200px. Up to 3 times wide X 1 height. Experimentation is advised. I know this doesn't include a player but Youtube does. I'm on it. This is only as far as I've gotten w/ this code also....

Default didn't get it to work

Hi

http://wec360.se/public_server/karls...1/index_3.html

What am I doing wrong?

Or is it just that I misunderstood the concept... when you like the pano... the pano will show on the profile yes? Not just as a link to the pano?

It looks to me like you are trying to "Like" a different page than the page the swf file is on. Or the page you are trying to "Like" doesn't have "og" tags. >> http://www.wec360.se/public_server/k...t/1/index.html . That's probably it. See the page url at very bottom (like button code). Plus maybe the page you " like" needs full swf file path too, maybe.

Your pano will show, Yes. But first you will see the thumbnail image w/ an arrow to click to load the pano. Just exactly like you place a youtube video to Facebook. That's exactly what it will look like. I re-examined the above code. You don't have a Facebook app ID. Look at my original code I posted. You need to change this:
Quote:
<meta property="fb:admins" content="http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=314175250942"/><meta property="fb:app_id" content="http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=314175250942"/>
after you get you Facebook app key to this w/ whatever your app ID (long number) is:
Quote:
<meta property="fb:admins" content="YOUR FaceBook APP ID HERE!"/>
<meta property="fb:app_id" content="YOUR FaceBook APP ID HERE!"/>
>>>Get one here > http://www.facebook.com/developers/
>>>Click > "Set up a New App"
>>>Name it, check > "agree"
>>>Click > "Create App"
>>>Type in Security captcha
>>>Click > "Submit"
>>>Next page click > "Website"
>>>Enter either the one webpage you have pano on &/or site domain name or both & click "Save Changes"
>>>Make a note of info on following page &/or make a note of how to revisit the page. Grab you App ID & place it in the correct places in the code above. Skip everything at Facebook for now except what I told you above. Takes one minute total. You might need to log in to Facebook then go to >
http://www.facebook.com/developers/ I can't remember. I just know when I go to > http://www.facebook.com/developers/ I'm already logged in & can see all my apps. Sorry for double posting again. I don't know if you all get email updates when a new message is posted. Perrran if you let me save your pano to my drive I'll place it in an html page & like it to my facebook page if you'd like. Then you can take the code & put it into your site. Maybe you want to read this also > http://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/

Here is a working example > http://www.easysavannah.com/idrey2.html
