Default Problem - click sound in IE when using javascript commands

I hope someone can help.

I want to be able to run some javascript when certain FPP events trigger. For example, to change text on the page.

Using the Hotspots plugin, I add a javascript command to my XML file such as ...

<pano onPress="javascript:testfunc()" />
However, in Internet Explorer, as well as the javascript being run, an annoying click sound happens whenever the event is triggered.

- The sound is the same as the click sound you get when navigating from page to page in Internet Explorer.

- The sound doesn't happen in Firefox.

- It doesn't matter what event I use or what javascript I write, the event still makes a click sound.

Does anyone know why this happens, or how to prevent it happening?

Hi all

Just giving this a bump, as I'm still experiencing the same issue.

I've added a link to an example below, to see if that makes this easier to understand.

All that happens is:
- you click the pano
- the onPress event fires
- the code in my post above calls a javascrtipt function (that does nothing), and when the call to javascript is made, you hear an irritating click

This only seems to happen in Internet Explorer (I've tested with Firefox, Chrome and Opera).

I hope someone can suggest why this click noise is happening.

I've seen examples of other Flash players that have events that call out to javascript, that do not have the same click sound in IE when the calls are made.

For example JWPlayer (a video player) can have events call out to javascript withouth this click noised in IE. In this example, there are onPlay, onPause, onBuffer, and onIdle events that are used to change the text in a box above the video. Here's their example...

So I'm thinking it's not a fundamental issue of a Flash object calling out to javascript, but more maybe the way these events have been coded within Flash Panorama Player?
