Once again a mere Thank You just doesn't seem sufficient.

Hi,
I have replaced twcompass with the compass plugin. In the updated version you can use a static and a rotating image in different combinations - either a static compass house with a rotating needle, or a static needle with a rotating scale. Tommy Last edited by allSaints; 03-27-2012 at 11:14 AM. |

I've just played with it for a bit. Very nice.
I've toyed with something similar. Have you thought about adding a padding parameter? Have the element scale to fill the screen with nn pixels minimum padding while preserving aspect ratio. Optionally allow distortion so the same padding is on all sides. Optionally specify minimum or absolute padding for each side. While we are at it make the maximum scaling be 100% (object pixel to screen pixel) so it doesn't scale so big that it gets blury and optionally specify some other maximum scaling (eg 110%). And if you want to get more fancy still, allow swapping images of different sizes depending on stage size. That way you aren't downloading a 2000px width image if the pano is only 400px wide but if you go full screen on a HD monitor you can swap to a larger image that won't look blurry. FWIW

Hi Trausti,
well, you should have asked me then... ![]() Hi Scott, OK, I added two parameters: padding="nn" maxScale="nn%" or "n.nn" The padding issue is not as simple as it might seem. I don't want to meddle with the positioning of the spot - that's FPP's business. I could add the padding to the image itself, but as scaling changes - so would this padding. The plugin uses the method of decreasing available pano space by the padding value times two, but it will only work properly when the spot has been aligned as "CM" - otherwise all padding will be on one side only.
