Default Problem with black screen fixed

hi,
ok after double checking all my files, i finally find the source of the trouble:
in .xml file, a little error was "pan=--31" (copy-paste error i presume),
once i modify to "pan=-31" , everything back to normal :-)

the xml file have to be perfect,
if you try to comment some lines, it breaks .xml too
may be Denis should make a note about this in tutorial..

See you

Default Mac vs PC and FFP...

I am newbie just starting to use Mac computer and Flashpanoramas.

When watching panoramas on my PC there are no delays, movie is loaded and panorama is visible immediately.

But on my Mac there are some delays, movie is loaded, i can hear sound (if available) but still no picture for some seconds (5 - 10 seconds).

So, why is it faster when using PC ? Is it movdecoder not working properly on Mac computers or is it only me and my new iMac having this kind of issue?

How about getting that link working.
Me too- I got attachment.php when using Safari. But I got movDecoder2.zip when using firefox.

Default Probably just stupid - but it doesn't work :(

Hello everybody.

I have now spendt 2 days trying to figure out how to use the movDecode plugin, but for some reason I can't get it to work, and I don't find any usefull help from the tutorial. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have made a very simple xml page like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>

<panorama>
<parameters>
panoName= panos/stue
panoType = mov

loaderStreamed = 1
loaderBandwidth = 100

disableLoading = 1
loaderTextColor = #FFFFFF
loaderBackColor = #282828
loaderText =

layer_1 = files/movDecoder.swf
layer_2 = files/editor.swf
layer_3 = files/tooltips.swf
layer_4 = files/borders.swf
layer_5 = files/openFullscreen.swf
layer_6 = files/hotspots.swf
layer_7 = filer/glassMeter.swf

loaderText =

</parameters>
<movDecoder>
disableMacPreview=1
</movDecoder>
</panorama>

(the only reason I have included all the other layers is because I want to use them later in the project)

You can find all the files from my project folder at http://wideeyes.dk/temp/rundtur/

All my panoramas (.mov files created with Pano2Qtvr) have been placed in a folder called "panos"
As far as I can understand - that shold be enough.
So I wanted to embed the xml file in a html file so I created the html file "rmhus.html"

Without movDecoder you would have to create a .swf file - but as far as I understand it - that is not necessary when using .mov files. Is that correct??

If someone can clarify what I am doing wrong and point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Best regards
Morten Andersen

Hello Denis,

is that the movdecoder which is also parsing cylindrical QTVR ?
I asked you for that....

It looks that you have solved that problem in the Lens Flare plugin - sample

the new features = Great work !

why did you set this?
disableLoading = 1

if you disable loading, the pano wont load.

I recomend you this:
first try to make the pano works, using only movdecoder layer.
once you make it work, start adding other plug ins.

Like others I have also spent some time trying to get the movDecoder to work. Taking the sage advice of Aifos, I have stripped the code down to basics and used Denis's files for testing - including the bathroom QTVR. After previously getting constant blank pages (the same result with trying to view other links from the list), when I test the stripped-down version on the server the page now jumps to flashpanoramas.com.

I thought this would be an easier problem to solve! BTW I'm using the updated plugin.
