Question FPP: Is it suitable?

Hi folks,

We're looking at getting Flash Panorama Player to create a virtual tour of our school. We are very taken by an example here, which seems to have been created with FPP: http://tours.e4education.co.uk/eggars/

We are quite capable of taking photos and basic HTML, but that's the limit of our knowledge. We don't have panoramas, just the individual photos.

My concern is that the simple tutorial (http://flashpanoramas.com/player/simple) doesn't look that simple at all, and it appears that a lot of manual assembly is required to create the panoramas.

Questions:

1. Is it possible to use FPP to create the example given above? Including the ability to jump around to different areas.

2. Is it going to be straightforward to do this?

TIA

If you are shooting the images with a panoramic head (check www.nodalninja.com for heads), you would need a stitching program to make the panorama images (check www.ptgui.com). After that you can jump into making panos/tours with FPP, but it does require at least basic knowledge of hand coding.

If you want to do things without hand coding, making tours in seconds without having to think about code, you would be best served by using Flashificator (check www.flashificator.com for examples and video examples).
