what's the point in copying the first reply in this thread that is an almost four year old posting? Especially as that is the way this plugin works since long...

That's a way for the poster to "appear legit"... in more active forums it might work... the new member posts something relevant, and is not banned.... then the signature changes to some spam link a few months later, and then some spam posts take place... or just more copy/paste with spam links in the signature.

The creeps that construct those spam bots need some water-boarding where acid rather than water is used (my humanist side shining through here )

Its always fun and exciting coming back to this forum . As expected Google has more news about Gmaps V3 and I got an email from the group saying:

...On November 19, 2013 we will deploy a JavaScript wrapper that attempts to automagically turn remaining v2 maps into v3 maps. Though we expect this wrapper to work for most simple maps, we cannot guarantee that your maps will continue to function.

anyone has an idea if this 'magic' will allow the functions of Tommy's Gmap Plugin (all or basic ones)?

Tommy you got any info about it?
