I guess it all depends on how often you use it. There are some people out there that could not script FPP to save their life and rely 100% on FFC.

But I think that even if you were one of thoughs people that uses FFC to get your tour started and then finished it off by hand, then ?150 is not bad if you think of the time it saves you.

Don't get confused Harry The €150 is for the FPP Security Pack that is to be released in the next days. It is NOT the price for Flashificator. It is still €55.... way too cheap, but it was a price I decided before knowing how costly it would be do develop, but I stand by my decision and the price will remain the same for that version of it (2.xxx)

The Security Pack is a set of tools that can seal up a tour in a safe and secure way, and prevent theft of images and xml and it has domain lock, that renders the tour useless unless it is on the assigned domain.

Here you can see ... err... actually NOT see a tour that is placed on a domain that is not assigned for it to run on: http://casa360peru.com/asdf3/

This is a no-go... just an early test by the programmer.

I will have more examples in the coming days for you people to check out.

No discounts, but new "cheaper" ideas.

I will try to have the programmer to figure out a way to make the security package available online.

Those who don't want to buy the package, but who would want to have access to the service, would upload their project to a server containing the application, configure their preferred security output, pay €35 online for having the project secured and have a download link for the resulting secured project. That is an additional cost that no client (even here in 3rd world country Peru) would refuse to pay for the added security... and there would still be space for a profit margin on your end.

Clearly this is just me thinking out loud, but it's absolutely possible, and I have talked to the programmer about this, and asked him to make sure something like this can be done.

Ok, I was confused.
Sorry I was thinking that it was ?150 for FFC with the new the security package.
So, do I need to use FFC, to use the security package. Or can I add it to any FPP tour?

It will be a seperate application, and every single FPP project should be valid for it's protection.

Not only for FFC users, but hand coded projects as well.

Trausti
That's a good news.
Do we talk about days, weeks, months before it will be available?

We are talking days. The only thing left, is to build a gui for the security package, and then release it. I am hoping for a release within the next 7 days.

I sent you a PM in where I got into more details for the other part of your concerns.
How you can be sure the (my) software will not die if this or that happens... is also answered in the PM.
The contents of the PM are not publicly posted because it would be inappropriate to do so in these forums, but I am sure you agree that all is not lost even in the worst case scenario, as I have outlined for you.
I am sure that Denis will come with a fix/update before it is too late. Until now it's been increasingly frustrating not to get news, but with the RC Flash 10.1 problems (which are FLASH bugs, and not FPP bugs) it becomes more and more worrying that nothing is seen or heard from Denis in regards to the long overdue update plans.
Denis my friend.... please... just a few words letting us know what the situation is. No need to promise any release... just let people know what the status is!
Trausti
Hi!
thank you, Tuddi!

It could really help if Denis wrote even few words about update of FPP. Sure, Trausti's solutions are not same, but in most/many cases, what we read here in very first post:
http://flashpanoramas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2532 will/can be enough.
The worse is - not to have information to make any longer run decisions. As it seems features will be at least partly identical.
