Ok

So Iíve been looking at it long enough.
I went out and bought the Zoom H2 today.

BUT...
Now, the question is, how do I play 4 channel surround sound in FPP?
Do any of the audio plug-ins support it?

Good question.

I went out and bought it too

I am using it for the first time this weekend when shooting a couple of panoramas for the European Medieval Festival, I can't wait
I also had to buy the manfrotto 269hdbu that I read about in another thread... *lol*

Regards
Morten

Yer, I really like my Manfrotto 269hdbu, it's a bit heavy to carry around, Yvanís got a golf buggy for his, I just haven't had time to go looking for one, but I think theyíre a good idea

Iíve been reading loads of stuff about surround sound, I did not know that there is an mp3 surround format now, they have a flash browser plug-in that someone might be able to get to work in FPP.

Only Adobe can implement this feature in Flash Player So no chance. Currently Flash Player provides only stereo API for the sound.

While four channel or even stereo sounds good in theory, its practical use in 360 VR may be limited right now. To be truly effective the sound needs to move while you pan around. Say you are looking north along a sea shore. Wave sounds come from the right and traffic sound from the left. As you face south the waves would be on your left and traffic on your right.

Anyone who has heard a 3D sound demo knows how powerful that could be. But I'm not aware of a Flash MP3 player that can do that. In theory it can be done but I don't think the coding would be trivial.

Uum.

Yes Scott that would be the idea, make the sound pan around with the image

But as for

This post is about Mp3 surround, the people that developed mp3 surround sound.

They have a browser plug-in, it’s a SWF FLASH file. ActiveX if that makes any difference.

Here is the SWF file, http://www.iis.fraunhofer.de/fhg/Ima...cm97-93721.swf

Here is the how to info, http://www.iis.fraunhofer.de/fhg/Ima...m278-92643.pdf

I’m not that good at flash or embedding flash, and I can not get it to work, HELP, please.

And please stop telling me that you can not play mp3 surround in flash, unless you've tryed this , because that’s what this is supposed to do.

Thanks

Harry
