Default radar in map, but not in player - krpano example

Hi,
I wonder, whether somebody tried do place the radar in external map - not in player, which could communicate with panorama?

See this krpano example:
http://gade.dgs.dk/

How to do this in FPP?
Thanks

DGS, which belongs to a larger European group, is the competition to the company Eniro that I work for. And their map implementation - like ours - is an advanced Javascript solution with thousands of lines of code. It is not a simple Google map implementation. I guess the interaction between the map and the pano would be some kind of ExternalInterface API.

Pretty soon we will launch a brand new panorama walk around map page that will make the DGS pages really look outdated. It will be some advanced 3D panorama implementation (NOT FPP!). I could tell you more about it, but then I would have to kill you...

If I may ask and you're allowed to answer, what will be this application for? A sort of 3D/Virtual directory? for what usage? what's the difference between such services and GoogleMap/StreetView? (user speaking, no technical questions here).

The purpose is roughly the same as that of the DGS application mentioned above. To give the viewer a street view as complement to the usual maps and aerial photos. It is all part of a bigger picture, where people can search the yellow pages and get links to company locations. The goal is to generate web hits to persuade the companies to pay for being searchable in the online yellow pages.

The technical solution WILL be similar to the Google Street View. Ouchhh! Now you lured me into telling you! ...Nidrig - you're in trouble...

Should I cancel my next vacations to Stockholm, then?

I would be interested in knowing when the application goes live, if you're willing to share

No, of course not - you are most welcome here.

Regarding the date, they can't (or won't) tell - they are in a race with Google now, who can deliver Street View first in Sweden. The Google cars have already been here with their cameras, but it probably takes a few months to process the data and get all systems working. And as I have seen ours in a test environment, I gather it's more a question about fine-tuning it.
