Default Fullscreen pop-up blocker problem with example this time

Hi chaps

I've asked this before but got no reply so here's an example this time:

www.virtutour.com/fpp/pop_up_blocker_problem

Launch it. Click the fullscreen prompt. Then click 'book online' at the top

Pop-up blocker activates in IE. Really annoying. Here's code:

Code:
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'utf-8'?>
<panorama>
<parameters>

panoType = cube0
qualityMotion = medium
qualityStatic = high
loaderText =
loaderBackColor = #000000
zoomMin=.6
disableloading=1
loaderConsecutive=1

layer_1 = plugins/hotspots.swf
layer_2 = plugins/autorotator.swf
layer_3 = plugins/borders.swf
layer_4 = plugins/limits.swf
layer_5 = plugins/cache.swf
layer_7 = plugins/tooltips.swf
layer_8 = plugins/ExtensibleMeter.swf
layer_9 = plugins/panologic.swf

</parameters>

<autorotator>
quality = medium
qualityStatic = high
interval = 20
segments= 1
</autorotator>

<ExtensibleMeter>
path=meter/
startAlpha = -1
textx = 0
liney = -4
linebacky = -9
fontsize = 10
</ExtensibleMeter>

<panologic>
xmlfile=panologic.xml
</panologic>

<hotspots>
<global

onStart = "loadstart"

loadstart = "
loadPano(panoName=pans/room&pan=-10&zoom=0.95&tilt=-5,0, visible);
external.autorotator.speed=0.4;
external.autorotator.pause=0;
external.limits.pan_min=;
external.limits.pan_max=;
external.limits.tilt_min=-65;
external.limits.tilt_max=65;
global.onTransitionEnd = flash_go_fullscreen();
"

flash_go_fullscreen="
fullscreen_hint.visible=1;
fullscreen_hint.alpha=0.9,400;timer+=1,4000,,flash_go_fullscreen_2;"
flash_go_fullscreen_2="fullscreen_hint.alpha=0,400,,flash_go_fullscreen_3;"
flash_go_fullscreen_3="fullscreen_hint.visible=0;onTransitionEnd=;"

<!-- Exit button and feedback-->

<!-- Hints -->
<spot id="fullscreen_hint" url="images/click_to_go_fullscreen.png" static="1" alpha="0" visible="0" onclick="fullscreen(); fullscreen_hint.visible=0; thumbs_visible();"/>

<!-- Book online -->
<spot id="book_online" static="1" alpha = "0.9" salign="TC" visible="1" staticY="21" unlinked="tour" url="images/book_online.png" onClick="external.panologic.fulltest=nnn; openURL(http://www.onlinebookingtest.co.uk)"/>

</global>
</hotspots>
</panorama>

I've tried launching url with javascript. Makes no difference. Tried bringing it out of fullscreen first. Makes no difference.

Any ideas? Is it possible?

Thanks

Masten

Can you not activate modal javascript ajax content from flash or use a htmlbox plugin, if the internal content is sufficiently simplistic?
If the answer is no to both, it's time to program your booking content extensively in flash.
I haven't done it personally yet, but I'd think you can get some ajax content over the flash window without too much headache.

Hi Sacha

Sorry Sacha, bit over my head here. I have no idea what either of these are. Could you elaborate please

>it's time to program your booking content extensively in flash.
The booking content isn't mine. It's the clients' online room booking facility (usually a 3rd party) and can't be changed.

Thanks

No worries. Your initial method to open your tour was via javascript which created an absolutely positioned div overlayed on the HTML doc with iframe? Content filled with your pages code. You should be able to open another highslide with the booking content .
Time for just a quick introduction to basic js concepts to reduce devel time to search for the correct plugin method. Highslide makes things easy by using tag in HTML "reel= 'sorry fucking auto iPhone auto correct' to set. The onclick event to call the js function. So you need to figure out what will be the correct function for your modal js "window creator" will be and call that in fpp and you should be set taking into account the need to drop from pure flash fs if so. Hi Sacha

Thanks. Not being a proper coder it's all a bit over my head though to be honest. I'm concentrating on business development at the moment and, as much as I'd like to, I just dont have the time to concentrate on the fine details of product development, so might have to look at getting a developer to work on specific projects. Are there people here that would do that and what kind of rates are we talking?

Thanks

Masten
