Default Editable text with transparent background

Hi

I've just started using Tommy's textbox plug-in to enter text directly into the xml file which is so much easier than creating bitmaps.

What I really need though is have a transparent background to the text box which that plugin doesn't provide as far as I can work out.

Is there another way to do this

Thanks

Masten

Also anti-aliased text would be good too.

I used transparent background of textbox simply by throwing away bgcolor and bordercolor from xml.

Hi masten,

the textbox plugin does support transparent text background. Just leave the bgcolor attribute empty or remove it. I'm sorry the documentation said something else, but I have made an update. Make sure you have a newer version of the plugin - the latest being V1.3.

As you can see in this test page, I have added a text with transparent background in the upper right. Clicking it will set/remove the background.

The Adobe documentation states that normal text anti-aliasing IS applied to the text. Advanced anti-aliasing can only be used on embedded fonts.
