Default Pano only extends 20% vertically down page

Hi

Ive previously been using this

Code:
<style type="text/css">
html {
height: 100%;
overflow: hidden;
}Pano only extends 20% vertically
#flashcontent {
height: 100%;
}
body {
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
</style>
to force my tours to extend right to the edge of the browser horizontally & vertically as I know many of you do here.

I now want to put some html content under the pan so want it just to extend to the edges just using this

Code:
<style type="text/css">
html, body {
margin: 0; padding: 0;
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
}
</style>
i.e without the pan hiding any content

Here's the code:

Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en">
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
<style type="text/css">
html, body {
margin: 0; padding: 0;
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<div id="flashcontent"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var so = new SWFObject("tour.swf", "tour", "100%", "100%", "8");
so.addParam("allowFullScreen","true");
so.addParam("scale", "noscale");
so.addVariable("xml_file","tour.xml");
so.addParam("allowScriptAccess","sameDomain");
so.addParam ("bgcolor", "#000000");
so.write("flashcontent");
</body>
</html>
This works fine in IE7 but in later versions and firefox it only extends about 20% vertically down the page.

Have tried all kinds of variations but can't get it to work. Tried latest version of swfobject.js and it stopped working completely.

Here's a similar post but I couldnt get the suggestions here to work

http://flashpanoramas.com/forum/show...=embed+firefox

Any ideas?

Thanks

Masten

Hello Masten,

I noticed that your code was missing a </script> tag at the end of the <body> tag, but when adding it, I got the same result that you probably do.

But when using swfobject 2, it worked like a charm. This is the code I used:
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en">
<head>
   <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
   <script type="text/javascript" >
      var flashvars = {
         xml_file: "platetest1.xml"
      };
      var params = {
         allowscriptaccess: "sameDomain",
         allowFullScreen: "true",
         scale: "noscale",
         bgcolor: "#000000"
      };
      var attributes = {
         id: "movie20"
      };
      swfobject.embedSWF("tour.swf", "flashcontent", "100%", "100%", "8", false, flashvars, params, attributes);

   </script>
   <style type="text/css">
      html, body {
         margin: 0; padding: 0;
         height: 100%;
         width: 100%;
      }
   </style>
</head>

<body>
   <div id="flashcontent"></div>
</body>

</html>
Of course I didn't use your "tour.swf" in my test, but the normal "pano.swf". And using the swfobject 2 has many advantages - you can put all your script in your <head> and keep your <body> a bit cleaner.
